FAQs

What is Harmoney?

Harmoney is an app designed to help co-parents seamlessly manage and split shared child-rearing expenses, minimizing financial friction and keeping records perfectly clear.

How do I invite my co-parent?

You can invite your co-parent by navigating to your Partnership Settings in the app and entering their email address. They will receive an email with a secure link to join your shared ledger.

Do we both need to pay for a Premium subscription?

No! Only one person needs to purchase a Premium subscription. Once activated, premium features—like unlimited AI receipt scanning—are unlocked for the entire partnership, benefiting both of you.

How does AI receipt scanning work?

With our AI receipt scanner, you can take a photo of any store receipt. Harmoney will automatically extract the merchant name, total amount, and date, making logging expenses incredibly fast and accurate.

Can I add an expense without my co-parent's approval?

Yes, depending on your partnership settings. You can set your tracking mode to 'Mutual Approval' where expenses must be accepted, or 'Track Independently' where expenses are automatically added to the ledger without an approval step.

How do we actually settle our balances?

Harmoney continuously calculates who owes whom based on your custom split percentages. You can configure a Settlement Schedule (e.g., Weekly, Monthly) to receive automatic reminders to settle up, and you can add your Venmo, CashApp, or PayPal links directly to your profile for easy payments.

What happens to our data if someone deletes their account?

If an account is deleted, all personal identifying information (like email and phone number) is securely scrubbed and anonymized. However, the shared financial ledger remains intact so the remaining co-parent can securely preserve their historical financial records.
